This specimen features one 12mm gemmy root-beer, brown, prismatic crystal standing prominently from its side, with some smaller crystals cascading down the matrix. A classic specimen from its type locality, named after the famous Mt. Vesuvius which erupted in 79 AD, burying Pompeii. These alpine Italian beauties are among the finest and most highly sought after examples of vesuvianite. A great piece!
