Tremolite, mica, garnet

Marbridge Mine, La Motte Twp., Quebec
Size: 7.8x7.2x3.0 cm
Largest crystal size: 42 mm

An interesting rock specimen showing elongated crystals of dark green tremolite embedded in a fine grained mica matrix. There are tiny garnets embedded in the bases of the tremolite crystals. I expect this is a very interesting study in the metamorphic history of this deposit. Old geologist label attached.
