This specimen shows a thick, botryoidal dark greenish brown layer of smithsonite on, I think, lighter coloured calcite. The lighter coloured mineral may also be smithsonite. Mineral specimens from the copper-zinc Antler Mine of Mohave County, Arizona are very uncommon and very rarely available. This striking specimen features a crust of iridescent, botryoidal smithsonite on a matrix of massive smithsonite. Handsome piece from an old Arizona locality.
