Silver, in Breccia

Here is an amazing specimen of high-grade silver mineralization in a dolomite-rock breccia. The silver is VERY thick and runs continuously through the very thick slice. It is very thick so the raw mineralogical textures are easily visible on the sides.  Check out the dimensions to really understand the size of this? The silver is present as extremely thick, solid silver to dendritic and small veinlets. Imagine the really good grade silver ores of the good old days! This specimen is from the Silverfields Mine which was one of the oldest mines in the Cobalt Camp and one of the last mines to close in the early 1990s.
