Here is an old, unusual one! It is a carbonate vein section loaded with dendritic silver crystals. Even better, though, is that there is a pinky phase of feldspar on one side of the vein that has been identified as the rock type aplite. There are many intrusions of aplite around the Cobalt Mining Camp and geologists have tried to determine if they are related to the silver deposition. Some have silver in them and the aplite phase in this specimen has veinlets of silver in it, although that may be remobilized silver. Comes with an antique geologist tag. Interesting and unique.
