Seligmannite, Sphalerite, Tetrahedrite

Palomo Mine
Huaco Colpa
Size: 5.5x4.1x2.6 cm
Largest crystal size: s-18mm, selig-0.5mm mm

This is an interesting specimen. The largest crystals are twinned sphalerite that have a very thin veneer of chalcopyrite that gives them a golden look. There small clusters of seligmannite crystals on the sphalerite and are on, what I think, were once small galena crystals. There are also some sharp tetrahedrite crystals on the piece. Very interesting!
