An opening at the front of this specimen is lined with pure-white botryoidal scolecite. Associated with the scolecite are tufts of extremely fine, fluffy tremolite. As well, there is coarser, acicular tremolite in the matrix of the specimen. Not from the Jeffrey Mine but another old asbestos mine not too far away, in southern Quebec.
