Quartz, var. Amethyst, ps calcite

A beautiful specimen showing two quartz-amethyst casts after calcite crystals on chalcedony. The amethyst has that beautiful purple colouration that we often see from Uruguayan amethyst. I have provided a view from the back that shows that some of the calcite has been dissolved away but some relict calcite remains. Displays beautifully. A couple of small dings. Add some colour to your cabinet!! t
