A cluster of amethyst quartz crystals dominated by one larger crystal. This specimen is unusual in that it does not have the colloidal iron oxides that are so often included just under the surface of the quartz crystals. This results in a nice purple crystal with no red tinting or dots. You'll note from the label glued to the sawn base that the specimen was collected in 1970. Displays very well!
