Well formed Japan-law twinned quartz crystals from one of the most prolific localities of such twins. This particular one is flattened, close to being a "closed" Japan-law twin, showing two twin members at the required Japan-law axial angle of 84 degrees, 33 minutes. The crystals are frosted with some little clusters of quartz-coated hematite crystals speckling the front. Some regular quartz crystals intergrown. Nice looking example!
