Quartz, Gwindel

A beautifully formed, classic, Swiss quartz "gwindel". The crystal is elongated along one of the horizontal axes and shows excellent terminations. The quartz is very gemmy smoky quartz with a light dusting of dark green chlorite. There are a couple of contact points on the top and one side of the crystal that do not detract from the specimen. Most gwindels are sans matrix but this one is attached to a matrix fragment that is composed of quartz and chlorite. Sits perfectly and displays very well from either side. Classic! t
