Here is a good looking specimen from a long-closed iron mine in northern Ontario. The Sherman Mine is normally famous for the jasper-magnetite-hematite banded ore that they mined there. Here is something a little different, pyrite crystals in and on a shale-like rock matrix. The specimen is repaired but, done well and looks great!
