Pyrite

This unusually-shaped specimen from West Bay lind of looks like a Christmas stocking stuffed with gifts! 🙂 The Port au Port Peninsula, on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland has become a prolific producer of mineral specimens, in recent years. One of the most interesting is the occurrence of pyrite nodules and crystals in the shales of West Bay, Tea Cove, Lead Cove, etc. A fun, interesting specimen!
