An oldy! This specimen shows a crystal that is fine grained muscovite after something else. At one time, such a crystal was called gieseckite. This one was originally in the collection of Dr. T.B.Wilson and then the (I think) Philadelphia Academy of Sciences. Two antique labels accompany the specimen and the catalogue numbers on the specimen match with the labels. Wonderful old piece!
