This piece of magnetite isn't your normal piece of magnetite. It has a kind of foliated texture AND is, itself, magnetic. That is, unlike most magnetite, it attracts iron and fragments of magnetic material to it, ie., Lodestone! You can see iron/magnetite bits stuck to it in the (semi-blurry) magnified photo. Excellent example!
