Here's a very well formed specimen of the silicate leucite, featuring sharp trapezohedral-like faces and a light beige surface. There are a number of these pseudo-trapezohedral crystals in the matrix. These species form directly in the cooling lava of volcanic rock . Only about five species of  minerals come from the Roccamonfina Volcanic Complex in Italy including this one.
