The top of this goethite matrix is covered with seemingly, botryoidal lepidocrocite. Seemingly because when you look closely at the botryoids, they are actually a mosaic of crystal faces. The tops of the crystals are tinted brownish but around the edges, the lepidocrocite is the more typical deep reddish colour. Original German label accompanies it.
