This is a locality piece from Foley Peak, the place we collected the large Japan-law twinned Quartz Crystals. The deposit is a skarn zone with very large masses of garnet. There are not many crystals but, on occasion, in quartz pods, good crystals can be encountered. Here is an example of a sharp dodecahedron, partially exposed in quartz, in turn with is in a mostly garnet matrix. A little malachite, probably due to weathering of chalcopyrite.
