This specimen is mostly composed of enmeshed grossular crystals and diopside that has had some of the white calcite etched off to expose grossular crystals. The grossular crystals range in colouration from a dull green to the more intense, chromium-rich dark-emerald green crystals. Historically, this was Canada's oldest nickel mine!
