The front of this specimen is a quartz-calcite vug that is largely over-crystallized by clusters of small purple fluorite crystals. This makes a wonderful back-drop for hundreds of beautiful, prismatic dawsonite crystals as individual, larger crystals and smaller sprays. The dawsonite crystals are all sharply terminated, colourless and gemmy! Beautiful specimen of a rare mineral.
