A rather spectacular example of this mineralogical and geological oddity. Here we see several elongated, interconnected masses of native copper that were amydule (gass bubbles) fillings, similar to many that we see in the Keweenawan volcanics, except that these ones were elongated as the basaly flowed during cooling. Eventually, during the mining process, the basalt was fragmented revealing these strange and interesting shapes. Don't know the exact mine. Was out of an old collection where the catalogue was lost. Excellent example!
