Copper, Datolite

Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan
Size: 5.8x3.0x2.5 cm
Largest crystal size: 17 mm

This whole specimen is covered with copper crystals. The top crystal is an elongated grouping of crystals. The lower part of the specimen is totally composed of copper crystals that are partially encrusted with tiny, sparkling datolite crystals and epidote. Very interesting specimen from a vein deposit.
