Churchite-(Y)

Here is an unusual one! The front of this gossanous matrix is loaded with sprays of acicular "weinschenkite" or, as we call it today, Churchite-(Y), the Yttrium Phosphate mineral. The crystals are coated with iron oxides but where the sprays are exposed in vugs of the radiating groups are sectioned, they are pure white crystals. Old German label accompanies it.
