A great little criss-crossed cluster of clear hexagonal prisms of calcite with hematite and pyrite inclusions at the core. A bit bigger than a thumbnail. With the one doubly terminated crystal laying horizontally across the piece it makes for a very aesthetic specimen.
The quarry is part of the Beekmantown Formation that shows up at several locations, From Saratoga Springs NY, through Herkimer NY, St-Clothilde Quebec, St-Eustache Quebec to Greely Ontario.
