This limestone matrix has a large vug lined with colourless and white-zoned baryte crystals on one side. As well, there are some sharp scalenohedral crystals of calcite in the vug. Interestingly, this specimen is from an ancient "white smoker", a hot spring at the bottom of an ancient ocean that precipitated barium, calcium and iron minerals. s
