The top of this quartz and baryte matrix shows clusters of deep-blue, lustrous azurite crystals. Beautiful! As well, there are loads of needle-like crystals of, what I'll call pyromorphite, although I am not sure. Also some fine, acicular, green, malachite! A lot of people don't realize that Ireland has had several excellent base metals mines in recent decades! Tynagh Mine was one.
