The mines and quartz veins of the mines of the Washington Camp area have ben a prolific source of Japan Law twinned quartz crystals. They are, typically, flattened pairs of crystals with the requisite axial angle of 84 degrees, 33 minutes. All quartz crystals from the Washington Camp area are characteristically frosted and sharp.
