Mont Saint-Hilaire, Horvathite-Y

Horvathite-Y is a relatively rare mineral at Mont Saint-Hilaire, the type locality for the mineral. The matrix for almost all of these specimens are interlocking pseudomorphs of calcite after shortite, sometimes with a microcline crystal section. The photographs that I take are very rapidly done. I'm sure that you can do a better job with any of these specimens, if you are a photographer.
