  • A really interesting piece that is composed mostly of analcime crystals that appear to be encrusting a hollow hemispherical form. There are also some natrolite and pectolite crystals poking out here and there and some black amorphous mineral caked on in some areas. Interesting and good looking!

  • Here is a nice grouping of trapezohedral analcime crystals with an iron tint to them. Interestingly, most of the crystals show rare, fairly large, sharp cube faces, in addition to the trapezohedron. You can see this in the close-up photos above. This is unusual! Looks great!

  • Here is an interesting one? It is a single crystal of analcime that looks a little different. I suspected that it may be partially pseudomorphed, so I had it analysed. In fact there is a lot of potassium in it, so I conclude that it is partially altered to leucite or some other K silicate? Mostly Sodium silicate, though. Was attached on back. Great crystal form!

  • A plate of crystals that is mostly composed of several analcime crystals, the largest of which is 78mm across! The crystals are all sharp and have a greenish tinge, perhaps caused by fine grained chlorite inclusions. Impressive!!
