  • This specimen is a plate/cluster of calcite crystals showing scalenohedral habit. The crystals are white/creamy in the middle of the crystals and trend to gemmy orange closer to the termination. The calcite cryastals have a dusting of tiny groups of white, bladed, baryte crystals on their upper surfaces. Nice!

  • Here we have two botryoidal calcite spheres butted up against each other, in a vug in dolomitic limestone matrix. The bigger ball of the two has a sharp calcite rhomb protruding from its side. The balls glow white under UV light. Also many tiny marcasite crystals present. A great example from this locality. DD
