- This specimen is a plate/cluster of calcite crystals showing scalenohedral habit. The crystals are white/creamy in the middle of the crystals and trend to gemmy orange closer to the termination. - Here is an interesting one. It is a glob of hard, hydrocarbon sitting in a vug of tiny calcite or dolomite crystals. The label says "gilsonite" and it may well be. I do not know what separated the various hydrocarbons like this from each other. Interesting and unique!
