Mercury, Cinnabar, El Entredicho Mine, Almaden, Spain

This mine is THE classic mercury producing mine of all time. Since pre-Roman times, mercury has been wrought from these old mines. Here are a selection of specimens from Almaden. The cinnabar is very rich. some have bigger crystals but most are smaller. All of the specimens have nice droplets of mercury exposed in the vugs, easily seen with a loupe but extremely nice under the microscope.
