Gold -Panneton Collection

Gerald Panneton, a geologist with over 35 years of international experience was also a mineral collector who built an interesting collection, particularly rich in gold specimens, many from unusual locations. One of his great accomplishments was as president and CEO of Detour Gold Corporation (2006-2013) and was responsible for taking the deposit from a 1.5-million-troy ounce resource to over 16 troy million ounces in gold reserves and bringing the deposit into production in just over six years. Prior to that time, he worked for many major gold companies and groups, advancing gold projects around the world. Here are some of the gold specimens from his collection.
