Zeolites, Bay of Fundy, Nova Scoria, Amethyst, Chabazite, Gmelinite
Here are specimens that you rarely see. They are all plates of part geodes of amethyst that also contain Chabazite or gmelinite and, in some, calcite crystals. These chabazite and gmelinite crystals are fluorescent, though! Due to trace amounts of uranium (analysis done), the chabazite or gmelinite glow a nice green colour! If there is calcite, the calcite crystals glow a nice cream colour but are also phosphorescent. That is, they continue to glow after the u/v light is turned off. Special pieces! Good looking, too!

- This is an interesting one! This section of amethys geode holds a nice chabazite crystal and a poor-looking calcite crystal. However both the Cancite and the chabazite are fluorescent with the calcite being very phosphorescent. That is it continues to glow and then fade after the U/V light is turned off. Very cool!

- Super! This amethyst geode has a bridge of chabazite crystals across it, with more geode behind. The chabazite is colourless but fluoresces a bright green colour under U/V light. The fluorescence is due to a trace amount of uranium in the molecular structure of the chabazite. Really a striking specimen! in white light OR U/V light.

- This nice amethyst vug has a well formed, colourless chabazite crystal in it, formed on the amethyst. The chabazite crystal is colourless in regular light but a bright green colour in ultraviolet light, due to a trace amount of uranium, fluorescent activator. Sweet!
