Mont Saint-Hilaire, Petarasite, Remondite-(Ce)

Petarasite is one of the less common minerals at Mont Saint-Hilaire. The older specimens of petarasite show brown-beige, blocky crystals of petarasite but many of the specimens of this rare zirconium silicate, in this page are red-lavender crystals that show a divergent tendency. Beautiful! You can do a much better job of photography than I have done!
