  • A very nice example of the kyanite schist, one of the metamorphic rocks that hosts the base metals deposits of the Snow Lake area. The matrix appears to be mostly sericite or mica and grayish, sharp kyanite crystals are embedded all through it. Nice example!

  • Silvery kyanite schist, envelopes a different rock type, perhaps a feldspar-mica vein. The kyanite crystals are well formed, prismatic, greyish crystals. Very nice example!
