  • An unusual and nice specimen showing a cavity in calcite coated quartz crystals with a number of very nice, deep red cuprite crystals, up to 8mm around the periphery. The crystals are stepped crystals showing the octahedron and dodecahedron. Shows very well!

  • There is one larger, composite crystal of cuprite embedded amongst the calcite crystals, on this piece with some smaller ones in with the calcite crystals. It looks dark in the picture but is quite red in brighter light! Nice!

  • The top of this specimen is a vug that is lined with cuprite dodecahedra, some complete and some intergrown with iron oxides. The matrix appears to be a mixture of cuprite, chalcocite(?) and other sulphides. Interesting locality piece!
