  • The top of this piece is covered with sharp, tabular forsterite crystals along with a few black spinel crystals. It is really a nice forsterite specimen from this famous spinel locality.

  • A couple of octahedra of dark blue spinel are exposed on the front of this marble matrix. The larger crystal is composed of composite faces while the smaller one is more coherent., ie has simple octahedral faces. Nice example!
