Peru, San Genaro Mine, Pyrargyrite, Miargyrite, Silver
San Genaro Mine is a mineralogically rich silver mine in Castroverreyna District, Huancavelica Province, Peru. Here are some very rich but modest pyrargyrite (tested) and very good miargyrite (x-rayed) specimens from the mine. They are all high grade pyrargyrite or "ruby silver" specimens with varying amounts of cavities that contain sharp pyrargyrite crystals. As well, there are a few, nice, well crystallized native silver specimens.
