Society Girl Mine
British Columbia, Canada

Item number: 27980

RTD You know how I am always whining that Canada has no secondary minerals because of the last ice age? Well, there are very few exceptions. One is the Society Girl Mine at Moyie, British Columbia. This specimen of excellent pyromorphite crystals show a cluster of barrel-shaped hexagonal crystals with slightly concave pinacoid terminations. A very old, long closed mine. These specimens were collected in the 1970's and it is unlikely that there will ever be more.
