The other sawn half of #22480. Superb vein-section of high- grade silver representative of the heydays of silver mining in the Cobalt, Ontario silver mining camp. This piece shows very rich silver dendrites embedded in carbonate. The silver dendrites have a shroud of cobalt arsenides coating them. As well, there are veinlets of pure silver cutting through both the carbonates and the arsenides and silver, probably re-mobilized from somewhere else in the vein. Sawn on one side, rough on the other. Dense! Beautiful and impressive.
