Bolivian minerals -Bournonite

The Machacamarca Mine has become a great locality for bournonite crystals. The crystals are characteristically flattened, twinned, tabular crystals on quartz or siderite matrices. Here are some very nice examples!

  • A fairly sharp, cluster of bournonite crystals is attached to one end of this pourous quartz matrix. The cluster is composed of several, slightly divergent bournonite crystals with beveled edges. A little damage on the back not noticeable from the front.
