  • A single, 23mm, sharp, simple octahedron pokes out from between weathered forsterite crystal sections. The spinel is above average size for this location. The back corner of the spinel crystal (which you cannot see in the image) is chipped off. Displays well from this side, as you can see!

  • A single, sharp, simple octahedron is about as exposed as it can be on the top of this fragment of coarse calcite. The octahedron is slightly elongated and has only very small modifying faces. Looks great!

  • A really nice specimen of predominately 10, or so, octahedral spinel crystals at the top of a matrix of forsterite and calcite. The spinel crystals show very well formed octahedral faces and a number of subordinate modifying faces. Displays perfectly!
