  • Very nice! This specimen shows a large cerussite crystal, actually an elongated, reticulated group of twin crystals on galena-rich matrix. The When you look at the crystal from the side, it looks like a heavily striated single crystal. When yo ulook doen the top of it, you can view the reticulated "snowflake" patterns that we appreciate in cerussite! Excellent!

  • This is solid cerussite, in fact a large twinned crystal. It is not perfect it is contacted in a couple of places and broken in a couple of places. But it also has many nice faces and twinned members. Classic Tsumeb!

  • There is one very large, smoky, gemmy, cerussite twin in the middle of this dark carbonate-chalcocite matrix. The crystal is a twin aggregate considting of five members in a fan-like pattern. one of the members has a large chip on it (see image) but when viewed from the other side, it is not noticeable. Quite a specimen!

  • Here is a classic cerussite specimen! It consists of, mostly, a single, well terminated, gemmy, colourless crystal. As is typical of cerussite it is extensively twinned with 7 or 8 smaller wing crystals of cerussite along its length. Very nice crystal1

  • A wonderful specimen! This piece shows a doubly terminated =, partially twinned, partially gemmy smithsonite crystal on pinkish dolomite crystals. It is accompanied by an old index card indicating that the other mineral is dolomite. I might have thought it was smithsonite, otherwise. Acquired in Windhoek in 1987. A couple of small bruises, not readily apparent. Looks great!

  • This specimen is composed of, primarily, a single crystal of cerussite. It is, actually twinned but the lower member, although not damaged, did intergrown with other minerals giving it a mis-shape and different lustre than the main member. The main crystal is gemmy, with sharp, facets. Really nice crystal!

  • Here is a wonderful "V" shaped twin of this wonderful lead sulphate mineral. The two main members of the specimen are gemmy, slightly smoky at the base and have a little dolomite and a couple of smaller cerussite crystal attached. the crystals are complete on all sides except the bottom where it was attached. Displays very well!

  • This is such a great cerussite crystal! This piece shows a very gemmy cerussite crystal thrust upwards from a couple of tin members, one of which is very well formed and the other which was intergrown with gossan. The main crystal has sharp beveling faces and shows prominent, smoky phantoms inside. Really nice piece!

  • This specimen displays perfectly to show a twinned cerussite crystal on the front, with other twinned crystals just behind it. The main cerussite blade that you can see on the front shows sharp faces and excellent phantoming, exhibited by smoky lines within the crystal. Excellent piece worthy of any cabinet!
