  • This specimen is like a thick, concave shell with a number of red-orange vanadinite crystals scattered in it and on the back of it. The matrix is mostly goethite, much of which has a kind of stalactitic texture. There is a patch of calcite or siderite on the left of the specimen. Looks great!

  • This plate of iron and, probably, manganese oxides is sprinkled with smooth, simple, hexagonal-tabular vanadinite crystals. The crystals have excellent luster and a rich, deep red colouration. A handsome, very displayable specimen!
